A proposed mixed-use development named 3131 Highway 7, across from the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC), is set to transform the city of Vaughan.
Designed by WZMH Architects, the master plan intends to meet the growing demand for housing, raise living standards, and promote community well-being.
The 10.9-ha (27-acre) redevelopment will bring 1,000 new residential units of various types and sizes to Vaughan and introduce a mix of commercial and retail spaces—offices, a hotel, daycare, retail, and a 3,554-m2 (38,254-sf) grocery store, among others.
Keeping sustainability at its forefront, the project will feature green roofs, new parks, public gardens, green spaces, pedestrian walkways, and community gathering areas.
